In San Francisco, the cafes inside museums, botanical gardens and visitor centers are a good option on a day out, and city parks often host a coffee cart or a seasonal concession stand. Across California, state and national parks list their concession hours online and close early outside the summer season. Check the listing for hours, admission requirements and the Google rating, and use the main cafe and bakery categories for everyday coffee, since the places here are grouped by location rather than by what they serve.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are Open 24 hours. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (800) 932-7277. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is gfiber.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Its Google rating is 3.8 out of 5 from 269 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Francisco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The internet service itself is good, with some outages occurring. The Nest gateway provided was absolutely terrible taking hours to set up on the phone with technical support. Several weeks later the wifi on the gateway failed entirely and I added my own Netgear router so I wouldnβt have to go through the pain of talking with technical support again. Fast forward more than a year and the Nest gateway failed completely. I spent almost 2 hours talking with technical support before they were satisfied the Nest gateway had failed and told me I needed to buy a new one from the Google Store. I decided to try the Netgear router I was using and itβs working great.

My experience in a large apartment complex is the time GFiber goes down, so I switched carrier. Can't compare my new service yet but the humans servicing their 800 lines are 1.Not in the USA 2.Speak very softly 3. Make it hard to understand their words 4. In my case contradict each other with their solutions 5. Seem to want to keep you on their line a long time. GFiber DOES NOT DO THAT!!!! KUDOS TO GFiber. I may be a returning customer.

Buyer beware. My condo building has been seeing internet performance issues for the past 5 days. I tried reaching out to customer / tech support and was either lied to or never received any updates. It was only until Mike from Webpass tech support was I able to receive any form of an update. Unfortunately I am anticipating I will go into day 6 of substandard internet performance.

UPDATE (April 2026): Changing this to 5 stars. The original review below was accurate at the time, but I want to give credit where it's due for how leadership responded. After this review went up, senior leadership got involved quickly. Darrel from GFiber personally stepped in on Monday and engaged multiple internal teams. Our internet was restored that night thanks to Moe Ben Younes, a field technician who came out on a Sunday and spent over two hours on-site, and Michael Cox from the GFiber NOC who identified the fix remotely. Both went above and beyond. Since then, we've been reassigned to Obi as our account manager, and the difference has been night and day. Obi personally dropped off the correct router (WiFi 7 mesh system), has been responsive and proactive, and clearly cares about the customer experience. We also had a productive call with Jake (SMB Sales) and Bill (GM of Commercial), who took ownership of the issues and worked with us to reach a fair resolution on credits. The initial experience was rough, no question. But the response from leadership, Obi's ongoing support, and the willingness to listen to feedback and improve their processes have earned back our confide

Fast and steady. I have about 12 devices connected, I have not experienced any lag and disconnections like my previous internet provider Xfinity. Downloading and viewing videos on my security cameras are also very quick and smooth.
